Admissions
Prerequisites
Completion of an undergraduate bachelor’s degree prior to applying is required. A science based degree is preferred.
The GRE is not required.
We cannot accept applications from individuals who are not US Citizens, unless the applicant has a Green Card.
We encourage applicants shadow an orthoptist prior to applying

The application requires all college transcripts, 3 letters of reference, a CV (curriculum vitae) and a letter of interest.

There is no fee to apply.
An interview is required. This can be done in person or virtually.

The instruction letter for your references can be found here. Please give it to your 3 references giving them adequate time before the deadline to respond.
Tuition and Expenses
Tuition is $5,000 per year (This is subject to change. Please confirm with program director as needed).
The student is financially responsible for all living expenses including health insurance during training.
Students in orthoptic programs do not usually qualify for student loans. Some partial scholarships are available through independent organizations, see the resources page.
